"How much will it cost" is the first question on every booking call, and it deserves a straight answer instead of "it depends." It does depend on a few things — but here's exactly what those things are, using our actual current rates.

The two numbers that make up your fare

Outstation taxi pricing in Chennai (ours included) generally comes down to two line items, not one: a per-km rate, and a separate driver bata (allowance) for outstation trips. The per-km rate covers the distance you actually travel. The bata is a flat daily amount that covers the driver's food and stay when a trip keeps him away overnight or for a full day — standard practice across the industry, not something we've added on top.

For local, same-day trips inside Chennai, bata usually doesn't apply at all — it's mainly an outstation thing.

Current rates

The standard Innova starts from ₹19/km, plus ₹600 driver bata for outstation trips. The Innova Crysta starts from ₹21/km, plus ₹700 driver bata. The Innova Hycross is quoted per trip rather than a flat per-km rate — WhatsApp us your route and we'll confirm a number.

These are starting rates. Your exact fare depends on the route, the dates, and whether it's a one-way or round trip — which is exactly why we quote it over WhatsApp rather than promising a single number for every trip on the site.

What's usually billed separately

Tolls and parking charges are typically passed through at actual cost, not built into the per-km rate. Fuel is included in the per-km rate for diesel vehicles in our fleet. None of this is unusual for outstation taxi pricing in Tamil Nadu — we just prefer to say so upfront rather than let it come up at drop-off.

A worked example

Say you're booking an Innova for a Chennai–Tirupati–Chennai round trip, roughly 270 km round-trip driving with an overnight stay. That's roughly 270 km at ₹19/km, plus one day of driver bata at ₹600, plus tolls. We'll always confirm the exact total before you book — this is just to show how the two numbers combine in practice.
