"Just book an Innova" turns out to be harder advice to follow than it sounds, once you find out Carzon Rentals runs three of them. The Innova, the Innova Crysta, and the Innova Hycross all seat seven, all wear a Toyota badge, and all come with a driver — we've never done self-drive. Past that, they're different enough that which one you book is worth ten seconds of thought.

The Toyota Innova — the one to default to

This is the car most people picture when they say "Innova," and it's still the one we send out most. Roomy enough for a family of six with luggage, high enough off the ground to shrug off Chennai's occasional flooded street after a heavy monsoon, and priced to be the sensible default — Innova rates start from ₹17/km. Nothing about it is trying to impress anyone. That's the point.

It's the right call for a regular airport run, a corporate transfer, or any trip where you'd rather not think too hard about which car to book.

The Innova Crysta — when the occasion asks for a bit more

Same bones as the standard Innova, with the volume turned up: reclining rear seats, a cabin that stays noticeably quieter at highway speed, airbags and ABS as standard rather than an afterthought. It's what we send for weddings, VIP pickups, and the longer South India tours where four or five hours in the same seat starts to matter. Rates start from ₹19/km.

Worth the jump over the standard Innova if the trip is long, formal, or both.

The Innova Hycross — the newest one, and the quietest

The Hycross is the odd one out mechanically — a hybrid petrol setup in place of the diesel most people expect from an Innova. In practice that means it idles almost silently at a Chennai traffic signal, which the other two don't quite manage, and the cabin tech (infotainment, climate control) is a generation ahead. Get a quote for the Hycross if that's the one you want.

We'd point you here if fuel efficiency actually factors into your decision, or you just like driving the newest thing in the fleet.

Need more seats than any of them offer?

All three top out at seven, driver included. If your group's bigger than that — a wedding party, a work outing, a family reunion — our tempo travellers run in 12- and 18-seater configurations instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Innova is cheapest to rent in Chennai?
The standard Innova has the lowest starting rate, from ₹17/km. The Crysta starts from ₹19/km, and the Hycross is quoted per trip — WhatsApp us your route for an exact number.
Which one should I book for a wedding?
Most of our wedding bookings are Innova Crysta or a luxury car, since the extra polish tends to matter more for that occasion than for a routine airport run.
Do all three come with a driver?
Yes — every Innova, Crysta, and Hycross booking includes a professional driver. We don't offer any of them on a self-drive basis.
